SUMMARY:Ben Jansz W/ Laverde
DESCRIPTION:Ben Jansz and Laverde EPK \nTwo absolute power house performers are coming together for one out of this world show right here in Gosford! \nLaverde  \n\n\nBorn in Colombia\, and raised in Chile\, Pablo’s music has  strong South-American influences and musical flare. His love  for music was also greatly influenced by his family. Growing  up he was surrounded by his mother\, uncle\, aunties\, and even  grandpa\, all playing guitar and making beautiful music which  inspired him to pick up the guitar. \nAt the age of 17 he bought his first guitar and started creating  his own music. Shortly after he moved to Santiago of Chile\, it  was there he entered the busking scene. Performing on the  streets\, or inside the buses of the “Transantiago” (public  transport of the city)\, he developed confidence with the  people with his animated character and captivating melodies.  Throughout this time he started to learn and play a lot of  covers\, always adding his own flare and unique style. “There  are no bad songs\, there are only wrong versions for you” \nA couple of years after his family moved to Australia\, Pablo  followed\, quickly falling in love with the magical country and  its people. It was here that Pablo was introduced to one of his  favourite instruments\, the Didgeridoo (Yidaki)\, including it in  most of his performances. \nThrough Looping\, Pablo Laverde incorporates didgeridoo and  a flamenco guitar\, making the captivatingly stylish and unique  Laverde sound. With Influences such as as Bill Withers\, The  Beatles and Buenavista Social Club\, he creates a blend of  Acoustic/Folk music\, fusing the qualities of his favourite  genres and artists. \nA deep yearning for creating music and artistic expression has seen him play up and down the East Coast of Australia\,  performing heavily through the Central Coast to the Northern Rivers. With an untamable nomadic heart\, and passionate love for music and connection\, his story continues to take him  wherever the music calls him. \nBen Jansz \n\n\nBen Jansz is an Australian Folk/Roots musician\, currently living in the Northern  Rivers of NSW. \nPassionate about music since the age of 10\, Ben has always aspired to create  and share his sounds with the world. Getting his first residency gig at the  young age of 16\, he became forever inspired and enthused to perform at as  many places across Australia\, and has done so ever since. \nReleasing his EP ‘Follow Your Feet’ in 2016\, at his first ticketed event\,  supporting Kim Churchill\, Ben’s reputation began to flourish. He has since  supported Josh Pyke in Melbourne\, toured the Northern Territory\, supporting  Thirsty Merc in Alice Springs\, toured New Zealand supported by Coco Michelle\,  released a live album in 2019 ‘Live at Baha’\, continually paving the way for  more opportunities to bring his musical memoirs and empowering values to as  many people as possible. \nHe has been featured at several festivals across Australia including Dragon  Dreaming\, Rabbits Eat Lettuce\, Bohemian Beatfreaks\, Tropical Bloom\, Byron  Bay Guitar Festival and many more. \nBen Jansz’s sound can be described as Aussie Roots/Forest Folk with elements  of Organic Trance. Inspired by nature’s sounds\, ancestral symphonies\, and  musical influences such as John Butler\, Xavier Rudd\, and Matt Corby\, he has  been said to combine some of their most remarkable qualities with his own  captivating vocals and skilful use of multiple instruments\, creating the  distinctive Ben Jansz sound. \n… \nGeneral Admission – Due to limited space\, ALL attendees must hold tickets (incl. children) \nHelp us stay COVID safe by staying home if you feel unwell. \nTickets are nonrefundable\, except in case of exhibiting COVID symptoms. \n… \nABOUT THE RHYTHM HUT\nThe hut is a fully licensed grassroots music room with a bar\, not a bar with music\, which is why musicians and music lovers alike enjoy the collective experience so much. \nHome-style vegan food and gluten-free desserts are also available for purchase. \nUnder 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.\nEnquiries: therhythmhutorganisers@gmail.com \n

SUMMARY:Kallidad!
DESCRIPTION:At long last\, it’s finally happening.\nEverybody’s favourite enigmatic trio returns to The Rhythm Hut for a night of music unlike any other. \nSydney based Kallidad combines Spanish guitar magic with rock and roll energy to create a once in a lifetime sound that has seen the group tour across Europe\, Asia and Oceania. The trio’s notorious white facepaint masks their identities\, shifting the focus to a musical style that is alive\, intense\, emotional and powerful. Kallidad’s music is all instrumental- no lyrics are necessary to feel the energy and passion behind the music. Booming percussion and shredded nylon string guitars weave a deep web of sound that always leaves audiences breathless and begging for more! \n var humanitix = { findPos: function(obj) { var curtop = 0; if (obj.offsetParent) { do { curtop += obj.offsetTop; } while ((obj = obj.offsetParent)); return [curtop]; } } }; window.addEventListener('message'\, function (e) { if (e.origin !== "https://events.humanitix.com"){ return; } var messageData = e.data; var iframeEl = document.getElementById('iframe-container'); if (iframeEl && messageData && !isNaN(messageData.scrollHeight)){ iframeEl.style.height = messageData.scrollHeight + 'px'; } if (iframeEl && messageData && messageData.pageChange) { window.scroll(0\, humanitix.findPos(iframeEl)); } }\, false); \n_________________________________________________________ \nGeneral Admission – Due to limited space\, ALL attendees must hold tickets (incl. children) \nHelp us stay COVID safe by staying home if you feel unwell.

SUMMARY:SoSo W/ Deadshowws and Radicals
DESCRIPTION:Self-described Offensively Average pop-punks SoSo headline The Rhythm Hut on the Central Coast leg of their ‘Yeah Nah’ single tour. Joining them are the energetic and enigmatic Deadshowws and Radicals.  \nSoSo’s assertive new single ‘Yeah Nah’ finds them at their most forthright\, diving headfirst into social commentary surrounding Sydney’s lockout laws and drug enforcement policies\, through the use of quintessential Australianisms and gratifying pop-punk. \nDiscussing the inspiration behind ‘Yeah Nah’\, lead singer Rhys de Burgh says ‘Yeah Nah originated as a bit of a joke song and ended up a rebellious\, energetic earworm. The track is a big call out of the shitty lockout laws that killed so many Sydney music venues\, archaic drug enforcement policies and the true enemy of live music – poker machines. Fuck pokies.’  \nTo coincide with the release\, SoSo have announced an accompanying NSW East Coast headline tour supported by Deadshowws\, including shows at The Rhythm Hut in Central Coast\, The Lansdowne in Sydney and Diamond Dogs Music Lounge in Dapto. The ‘Yeah Nah’ tour will also see SoSo support RedHook & FANGZ at La La La’s in Wollongong. \nPrevious singles have been widely embraced by Spotify and Apple Music\, and Australian radio stations triple j\, triple j Unearthed\, 4ZZZ\, SYN FM\, Aussie Music Weekly\, 89.7 FM and 96.5 Inner FM. They’ve also seen support from online blogs NME (AUS)\, Life Without Andy\, Blunt Magazine\, Hysteria Magazine\, HEAVY Mag\, The AU Review and The Soundcheck.” \nIn the coming weeks\, SoSo will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘Yeah Nah’ featuring social media personality Frenchy and shot on location at The Lansdowne Hotel.

SUMMARY:LaHi - 'Purge' Debut EP Release Tour
DESCRIPTION:LaHi’s Debut EP ‘The Purge’ with its incongruous funky beats rock you physically and mentally  \nWith support from Ragdoll and Dazed. \nSydney’s LaHi’s solo EP “The Purge” takes on many facets of the human condition and juxtaposes it with musically intoxicating tunes that ring through your head all day. Mixed and mastered by Ben Briddon\, the eccentric quirks of her songwriting are exemplified by clever layering and subtle technique \nThe EP explores relationship breakdown\, the fascinating concept of \ncatch 22\, the dangers of political ideologies and hypocrisy itself. These \nconceptual ideas alongside LaHi’s smooth jazzy vocals and full body of \nlayered guitar and drums create a realm of a serendipitous chaos. \nBreaking the barriers between music as expression and creating an art\, \nher songs create separate worlds utilising techniques from jazz\, pysch \nmetal and rock. This combination and the non-sequitur nature of her \nsongs flowing rhythmically despite the disjointed changes truly sets her \napart from the pack. \nAccurately named “The Purge\,” this EP follows a personal experience of \nisolation and societal truths from a middle class perspective. \nWhilst the voice is echoed and reflective of a wider experience the \nanalysis is wholly unique and provides a deep understanding of \nhumanity itself. \n\n… \nGeneral Admission – Due to limited space\, ALL attendees must hold tickets (incl. children) \nHelp us stay COVID safe by staying home if you feel unwell.
