If taken lightly, “Stoned Vacation” could be about getting high in paradise, however, the track is dark in it’s irony, coming from feelings of love, guilt and regret. With a sonic contrast of dark and light, the tune has a mix of fierce, sensual energy and dreamlike melancholy.

Tiali Eliza and her band will be releasing the single in her hometown of Central Coast, at The Rhythm Hut, Gosford. Supported by local acts Rosie & The Quest and Remote Controlled.

“With raw, resonant lyrics, Tiali Eliza accompanies a soulful yet versatile voice with grungy guitar tones and a funky band.
Her music has a sultry alternative/indie rock feel, while also incorporating elements of Latin, punk, and jazz into the live show.
Her songwriting draws mostly from on personal experiences and those around her, using music as the therapeutic tool for release. She expresses her views on society, culture, and the issues that surround it.

Tiali Eliza has been described as “alluring” and “powerful”, with a sound that has been compared to that of Cat Power, Mazzy Star and Murlocs, but is something that can’t quite be pinned to one genre and is best absorbed through your own experience.”

Support Artist ROSIE & THE QUEST:

“Rosie and The Quest is a six-piece soul project from the Central Coast, NSW. They draw inspiration from the strong future soul movement that has been developing in Australia for the last five years. Members include Rose Callaghan (Vocals), Joseph Smith (Keys), Brennan Fell (Bass), Jordan Gazzard (Synth/Guitar), Kyle McCallum (Guitar) and Luke Fabila (Drums).

At this event, Rosie and the Quest will also be launching their upcoming debut single. The track ‘I Can Do This’ was recorded with Declan Kelly (Bernard Fanning, King Tide, DK and The Rising Sun) and Drew Bisset at The Nest Studios.

‘I Can Do This’ is a song that lead singer Rose Callaghan wrote to celebrate the value of self-belief. The video clip was filmed by Erin Comensoli and reinforces feel-good themes through a playful story of overcoming ones fears and backing yourself.”

“Remote Controlled is a spare room project that doesn’t leave the house all that often. A part-punk-part-80’s-depressive-pop attack of Australian colloquialisms and a bric-a-brac of styles and influences. Third show after playing one show in both Sydney and Melbourne to what looked like a combined audience of about 50, both over a year ago. Be sure to miss this one.”
