gwen1The sounds and rhythms of the drums are abundant as you approach the Hut and it is impossible not to smile and feel happy!

When you walk thorough the doors, you immediately feel the warmth and calming vibes in the room and see the welcoming smiles of the volunteers (Bekk and Lou and others)

The Rhythm Hut is where I go each week to “turn off “for 75 mins from my busy work and family life.

2 years later and it is still my go to place for the best time out.  No pressure, or judgement, inclusive of everyone.

I started with learning the Djembe but have since migrated to the TAIKO!  Both very different but equally enjoyable to play.

I also participate in african Dance classes which run once a month.  Highly recommended !!

90 minutes of exercise mixed with much laughter and tremendous fun.

The energy at the music events held at the Hut are 2nd to none, a must-do and incomparable experience from local bands to internationally renowned artists.

You can’t say enough about the Drum teachers. I have had the pleasure of their instruction – Rendra, Tim, Marcus, Rory and Luke.

All very kind, PATIENT, and masters of their trade.

Must not forget that the Hut could not run as well as it does without the hard work of Lou, Rendra and Bekk and many others, I am not aware of, who have had their hand in the success of the Rhythm Hut… a Community Based organisation.
